Donations will support our campaign for a clean, safe, fair, transparent and accountable fashion industry
Who are we?
Fashion Revolution is the world’s largest fashion activism movement. Based in the UK, the democratic, diverse and unique team is responsible for creating, directing and overseeing Fashion Revolution globally, working with our teams in over 90 countries around the world.
What do we do?
Fashion Revolution campaigns for a clean, safe, fair, transparent and accountable fashion industry through research, education, collaboration, mobilisation and advocating for policy change.
Our mission is to create a global fashion industry that conserves and restores the environment and values people over growth and profit. Fashion Revolution strives to be action-oriented and solution focused, helping people recognise that they have the power to make positive change. We celebrate fashion as a positive influence, scrutinise industry practices and aim to show that change is possible. We will achieve this by focusing on citizens, industry and policy change.

What environmental work do we do?
Where do we carry out this work?
Fashion Revolution is a global movement with country offices and voluntary teams in 90 countries spanning all continents including Africa, Asia, Central American & the Caribbean, Europe, North & South America and Oceania.
We continually analyse the impact of our work on our beneficiaries through rigorous measurement, evaluation and research. We integrate impactful campaign initiatives to educate and inform communities, tracking the growth of our conversations through social channels demanding change. We review the level of brands engagement in our campaigns and responses to consumers questions. We work in partnership with other organisations to support factories, garment workers, suppliers and teams to continually review improvements to working conditions, reduced exploitation, equality, well-being and environmental sustainability.
How do we measure the impact of our work?
What impact have we achieved to date?
To date, we have:
Published six annual Fashion Transparency Indices to hold major brands and retailers to account.
Supported new business models that measure success on more than just growth through our mentoring and showcasing initiative Fashion Open Studio.
Increased public understanding of the social and environmental impacts of clothing, reaching 569m people on social media during Fashion Revolution Week 2021 and educating over 33k learners through our free online course, Fashion’s Future and the Sustainable Development Goals.
How are donations typically distributed across our organisation?
83% of the value of individual donations will be spent on the environmental work supported by the Foundation: the Youth Ambassadors Programme, Fashion Revolution Mentoring programme, and our Rights, Relationships & Revolution’ campaign on the interconnectedness of social and environmental issues, to raise awareness and push the industry to take responsibility for its actions and impacts. The remaining 17% is spent on governance, finance and administration.
